Day 3

Well, we hoped to leave for Kharkov today, but we needed a form signed yesterday late and they didn't have it ready for us. So we have to wait for them to sign it today. Evidently they only sign papers once a day in the late afternoon, and so now we are planning on going to Kharkov tomorrow. We slept late this morning - still a little jet lagged - and were woken up by this really loud bird. I was wondering what kind of bird it was that would make such a loud sound when it came again. We finally figured out it was the door bell!! I feel like the Beverly Hillbillies where Jed says to Granny that "everytime I hear that strange music, and I go to find out where it's coming from, someone comes to the front door"! Us stupid Americans. It was our interpretor coming to pick us up. We're off to sightsee in Kiev for lack of any business to do today. In such a rush to get out the door I forgot my camera, oh well, maybe we can buy a disposable.

We ran into our new friends here and they had good news to report on their visit to the SDA. Praise God!

Gotta run - don't want to keep Edward waiting any longer. There's that funny bird again - just kidding.... We feel more sure now than ever that we are walking in God's plan... please pray that we don't have any more delays, its' just killing me that we have wasted a day, but it will be fine in the end!

  2. Hey, you two are not the only "Beverly Hillbillies!" When we were in our apt. in Kiev, we kept hearing this bird singing and simply could not find the source until we finally discovered someone was at the door!
Take a deep breath - remember you are on God's time.
