Well, we finally have some news. Edward emailed today and said he met with the judge – Hooray! – who will hear our case. Evidently this is a district or regional judge who is very busy and has a large jurisdiction, and that has been part of the delay. Anyway, the judge said that he is having trouble finding “public representatives” which are evidently similar jurors. Evidently there is a shortage of them right now because everyone is on vacation for the summer. Also, the judge is leaving in two weeks for a month long vacation of his own! So, if he can find enough public representatives before he goes, then he will hear our case. If not, we will have to wait until he returns from vacation.
So Edward is asking us to pray that there will be enough public representatives to do this quickly. School starts August 24th, and we had really wanted to get the girls into school on time, so we are using that as some leverage to try to encourage the judge to act as fast as possible. We will of course ask him to waive the 10 day waiting period, but I’m told that is unlikely.
I’m starting to think in terms of what I have to do to get ready to go on very short notice and planning to be gone three weeks again. Greg will only have to stay for a few days, lucky guy! It’s a little overwhelming to try to organize when we don’t know what will happen tomorrow, but it will all be worth it in the end!

Greg and Sheri, I pray that things go well and God's will is accomplished. Your standing in faith for what you believe is God's voice is inspiring. Godspeed to you both. BTW I have a ticket for the Packers came against the Browns on the 40 yard line 10 rows back. Hopefully I won't get killed by those in the dog pound when I show up with Packers gear on.
